Dalaney's Sick

Thursday morning, around 2 am, Dalaney woke me up and said "Mommy, my throat hurts." I got up and gave her some Tylenol, said a prayer and hoped that she would go back to bed. Poor thing was up for 2 1/2 hours tossing and turning in my bed. Later that afternoon, she was complaining that her throat was hurting again. I got out my flashlight and had her stick her tongue out so that I can check her throat (wanted to make sure it wasn't strep). Bad move! Gag reflex.... she threw up all over her new school uniform and all over my couch! She was pretty scared (and so was Nevaeh)....not to mention that I just got my carpets cleaned.

Barf-clean-up.....

After I got Dalaney cleaned up, I got my steam vac out to clean the couch. During the "cleaning" process, I ripped my couch... darn it! Now I have a big rip on the couch...a nice touch to the other rip. Nevaeh was pretty freaked out (and grossed-out) with the puke....she was silently gagging behind the couch as she was watching me. She was really concerned about her big sister and said to me "Mommy, is Dalaney gonna be okay?" I reassured her that Sissy was going to be fine.

Fast forward to Saturday. Dalaney's still running a low grade fever and has a runny nose. She threw up once more after the couch incident. Now starts a vicious cold / flu cycle in the Burrier family.
